Goals
The goals of DYP are to provide opportunities in the area of social and professional networking, professional and personal development and civic participation and community involvement.
History
Durham Young Professionals started in March 2008 as a program of the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce to engage talented young professionals in Durham through professional development, networking, community service, and social opportunities. Now functioning as a Chamber supported Roundtable, DYP remains a dynamic group of individuals who are dedicated to civic participation, professional and personal growth, and have a shared interest in Durham as a place to live, work, and play.
Goals of DYP advisory council
- Act as a voice for young professionals’ issues and concerns and support meaningful programs and services aimed at addressing these needs and concerns
- Engage and develop young professionals through professional development, networking, community service, and social opportunities
